Transform Bug workaround

The other day Resolve hated me when I was resizing clips.
My goal was to make sure the sizing of each clip made it to the edge of the raster. I had a color background below the clips I was sizing, but when I got close to the edge of the frame the background dissapeard! What is going on here Resolve?
The workaround is to add a small value like 1 to any of the crop sides (I typed 1 in Crop left) on the clip you are sizing and voila, the background is back!

Resolve Transform Bug

It’s a weird bug and what’s even weirder is that on the Fusion page there is a proper checkerboard background that can be toggled on/off. Just add that to the Color and Edit page programmers; and check that it works all the way!

In my case I just copied and pasted the crop attribute to the clips I was resizing and removed it after I was done.

Render at source resolution creates cropped frames!

The other day I tried to deliver a timeline that had the box checked> Render at source resolution.
Resolve hated me and rendered footage at that resolution 4096×2160 but zoomed in?????

Render at source resolution

You would think that checking the source resolution box means original resolution, ignoring the sizing from clips, but no, Resolve will hate you and create a weird blown up version at that source resolution of your clip. (if you resized clips)
To render this right you have to also check> Disable edit and input sizing.

Always check both boxes to get source resolution.

Toggle Live Save on/off

Resolve was hating me the other day, crashing a lot while importing files. I started experimenting with turning live save off during imports.
Live save on> during color correct & editing.
Live save off> during all file operations, import, linking & delivery.
I think what’s going on is when the software is busy doing a lot of operations in quick succession, it crashes if it also tries to save the project after each import or operation.
Live saving is great but not when it causes constant crashing.
